Where’s the Beef…Chicken and Turkey?... We are very proud of this department. With our high standards, we have searched for the best tasting, freshest, most wholesome and restaurant quality meat available.  Our large selection includes tender filet mignon, chuck roast, London broil, top sirloin that’s great on the grill, tender NY steak, rib-eye steaks, flavorful stew meat, lean skirt steak and more.  We have rack of lamb from New Zealand for an impressive dinner, tender pork loin chops, oven-ready meals, ham steaks and succulent baby back pork ribs from Hillmeat. There is organic chicken from Coastal Range and a variety of cuts from Foster Farms. There are easy-to-prepare breast tenders and fillets, as well as ground turkey and larger tray packs for larger families.  Kosher beef and chicken from Aarons and Empire as well as savory sausages from Applegate Farms, an exceptional line with all natural chicken and turkey, free of nitrates and chemical preservatives, making for some very tasty stuff. There is delicious un-cured bacon from Pederson’s and fantastic deli meats from Boar’s Head.  As you can see, we have something for everyone at prices well below traditional markets.

Grab ‘n Go!... Everybody’s in a hurry. And while we really don’t want you to Grab and Go so quickly, we understand. We understand you want really good food at a really great price, and you want it really fast.  Well, we have quite a selection to choose from. There are sandwiches made fresh daily with Boar’s Head deli meats and cheeses stacked on fresh bread from our local Bread & Cie bakery.   There is assorted fresh sushi that offers a unique change, Greek and tuna wraps that go well with a steaming cup of creamy Mushroom, aromatic Lentil, rich Vegetable Chili or Mom’s favorite, Chicken Noodle, from our fresh soup bar. From our produce department...When you walk into our produce department, what do you see? Shiny red apples, bright fragrant oranges, fresh purple grapes, and a colorful array of other fresh, high-quality fruits and vegetables. But we think it's what you don't see that's important. Walking through the aisles of our fresh produce, you won't see much produce shipped in from other areas. That's because we try to get fruit and vegetables from local farmers as much as possible. We believe that it is essential to support local farming because it benefits both the farmers and our customers. When we buy our produce locally, the prices are often much less, so we can pass the savings on to you. Our Egg Prices...We keep the same low price of  $1.48 a dozen week in and week out. That's the same exact price...every single day. They are extra large, Grade AA, produced by a local ranch in San Diego county and delivered to our stores 2-3 days from production. Remember, that's $1.48 a dozen, always! We also carry Alta Dena XL Organic eggs,  Chino Valley Omega 3/Cage Free and Veg-A-Fed eggs all at prices well below what you would expect to pay at other markets.
 

Our Milk Prices...We successfully negotiated with Alta Dena Dairies allowing us to sell gallon size milk at prices well below traditional supermarkets (and you don't have to buy a double pack). While our prices remain one of the lowest in San Diego County, please be aware that milk prices are quite volatile and change every month. We change our prices up or down only as our costs change. Alta Dena has some of the highest quality dairy products available. There are no artificial bovine growth hormones (rbst) to stimulate milk production, no powdered milk solids from outside sources. Just fresh wholesome milk that is delivered 24 to 48 hours after milking. Whole Foods carries it, Henry's carries it, upscale health food stores like Wild Oats carry it, but no one carries it at our price of $3.69/gallon.

 Frozen Fish - Also known as "clipper caught" (after the type of fishing boat used) the fish is caught, dipped in water and flash frozen at a temperature of 30-40 degrees below zero right there at sea. This method seals in the natural juices and helps maintain the fresh fish flavor. Our seafood is prepared without chemicals commonly used to plump seafood before freezing forcing it to absorb more water. Treated fish and shellfish look beautiful but when thawed and cooked the seafood shrinks as the water evaporates. We think one of the best ways to buy fresh seafood is flash frozen, never defrosted and presented as fresh like the supermarkets. do. We have worked hard on getting the prices well below other markets.
